The daily weblog thing just ain't doing it for me

...but the daily private morning pages are so I will keep doing that.

Last night on the podcast I floated the idea about looking for a different way to do this - new digs for the blog or for whatever we call a blog in 2020. But then the obsession with finding just the right tool overshadows the act of writing and I see this happen all the time. I know one writer (let's stop calling them blogger, shall we?) who has three blogs so their creative mind is stretched across not only three different sites but also three services they have to fiddle with.

It's all words and you can put them in whatever font you want and whatever color you want but none of that should make any difference or prevent you from getting the words out.

Getting them out daily feels like a to do for me the writer and I am sure also for you the reader so two things are going to happen:

  1. I'm not going to try to write here every day
  2. I'm no longer going to declare changes to the way I blog, podcast, buy things, etc. I'm just going to make changes and if they are noticeable changes, someone might notice them but I'm not going to try to hold myself to any "declarations" moving forward.
Proof that I started out writing this on the deck but the heat and oppressive humidity forced me back inside.

And although I have posted it here before, here is my green crazy backpack, also mentioned on the podcast last night.
